Office of Communications
The Office of Communications tells the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff’s story to support recruitment, retention, advancement, and overall brand visibility. The story of UAPB spans more than 150 years and includes the narratives of academic excellence, historic impact, and world changers who are global leaders in their fields.
Our team of experienced and dedicated communicators ensures that the brand story of The Pride’s legacy, value, and accomplishments remains consistent across all platforms. We highlight the achievements of the state’s largest HBCU since its founding in 1873 and continue to communicate the impact and value of the UAPB brand to internal and external audiences.
Through strategic storytelling, media engagement, and digital communications, we help showcase the university’s academic programs, research initiatives, student success, and community partnerships.
Supporting the UAPB Mission
At the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, our mission centers on being a public 1890 land-grant HBCU that provides excellent academic programs while expanding access and opportunity for diverse students.
The Office of Communications supports that mission by telling the story of the university’s impact. Through strategic communications, media relations, and digital engagement, we highlight UAPB’s teaching, research, outreach, and service initiatives that benefit students, communities, and industries across Arkansas and beyond.
By sharing these stories, we help connect the university’s land-grant mission with the communities we serve and reinforce UAPB’s role in preparing graduates equipped to lead and contribute to national and global communities.
