Meet Our Coordinator

Cheryl James-Hutchins

Mrs. James serves as the Program Coordinator for the General Studies Program at UAPB. She is dedicated to guiding students through their academic journeys and ensuring the successful administration of the General Studies curriculum.

As a former Academic Advisor, Mrs. James personalized support to students, helping them navigate course selections, degree requirements, and career planning. As Program Coordinator, she oversees the General Studies Program, ensuring it meets the highest standards of academic excellence and relevance in providing learning paths for non-traditional students or those who want to reinforce their career skills to move ahead.

Mrs. James brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her educational background, holding a B.S. from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and an M.S. from Tennessee State University in Nashville.

The BGS program is designed to meet the needs of the non-traditional student. Traditional students may be considered for admission based on unique circumstances.
