Juneteenth in the Bluff: An Arts and Culture Festival – 2025
June 20
The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) is hosting its 2nd annual “Juneteenth in the Bluff: An Arts & Culture Festival” on Friday, June 20, 2025, in downtown Pine Bluff’s Delta Rhythm and Bayous Cultural District.
UAPB invites all of Arkansas to a Pine Bluff community festival filled with food vendors, musicians, artists, street performers, and giveaways. From food trucks to face painting to festival merchandise, join us to kick off the Juneteenth 2025 weekend.
Juneteenth is the cultural tradition marking the delayed announcement of the Emancipation Proclamation to the enslaved in Texas in 1865 which had been issued on January 1, 1863. Branch Normal College, now UAPB, was founded in 1873.
