The policy (below) of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) is to seek external funding from private and public sources to advance the mission of UAPB. Successful Funding requires:
- Increased awareness of UAPB’s mission and work.
- The cultivation of enthusiastic support among UAPB’s institutional constituencies, national and local leaders, and the general public.
This document states the policies governing the Office of Development (fundraising and public communications) and designates the university officials responsible for oversight of these activities and compliance with fundraising policies. The purpose of these policies is to assure ethical, effective, and accountable advancement practices in support of UAPB’s mission. Additionally, the Donors Bill of Rights [Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP)], E-Donor Bill of Rights (AFP) and Statement of Ethics [Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE)] describe the guidelines of conduct and obligations as they relate to philanthropy.
