Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAP)
Academic success is important and necessary for students to receive federal Title IV financial aid. At the end of each semester (fall, spring, and summer), a student’s academic record will be reviewed to verify satisfactory academic progress has been made toward completing the requirements of an eligible program. Satisfactory academic progress requires a student to meet a grade point average requirement (qualitative), course completion (pace/quantitative) requirement, and maximum time frame requirement for program completion. The policy applies to all students—continuing, transfer, and re-entry. All three requirements of the policy must be met to achieve satisfactory academic progress as indicated below:
