The LIONS Program is a summer residential academic enrichment experience that assists new freshmen admitted to UAPB in making a successful transition from high school and home to college life.
How the LIONS Program benefits you!
- Get ahead when you enroll in 6 credits (English and Algebra)
- Attend early placement testing and registration
- Attend tutoring sessions and “College Knowledge” seminars
- Reside in the Living Learning Center residence hall*
- Attend Fall Freshmen Orientation

Ready to apply? Here’s how you do it:
- Apply for admission to UAPB.
- Submit an ACT/SAT score, immunization record and final high school transcript, including any dual or concurrent college credits.
- Apply for the Summer II 2024 LIONS Program. Click here to apply.
- Apply for campus housing at reslife@uapb.edu, with a $100 deposit for Summer II 2025 and $25 deposit for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026.
- Participants are required to complete the FAFSA (2024-2025 Summer II) for a financial aid award for Summer II 2024 and (2025-2026 for Fall 2025/Spring 2026) at studentaid.gov (UAPB Federal School Code: 001086) by May 31, 2025.
- LIONS Program online payment link https://shop.uapb.edu.
- Awarded financial aid will be applied to the student’s account balance for Summer II.
- Program participants are required to enroll as a full-time student for fall semester 2025.
Note: Awarded financial aid will be applied to the student’s account balance for Summer II first. You will not receive a refund for Summer II.
