UAPB - North Little Rock Campus

" "The North Little Rock (NLR) site serves as a satellite location for the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Located at 1333 Main Street in North Little Rock, Arkansas, the site currently offers courses leading to a Bachelor's Degree in Regulatory Science with three options: Industrial Health & Safety; Environmental Biology; and Agricultural Science.

The multi-disciplinary curriculum in Regulatory Science is designed to prepare students for exciting careers related to regulatory and compliance activities with federal, state, and local governments as well as private industry. Governmental regulatory agencies protect the health and safety of the American public. They help to ensure safety in the development, distribution, and use of natural resources, food products, and agriculture. In addition, regulatory agents work with environmental issues, waste disposal methods, and the industrial and manufacturing sectors.

Students completing the curriculum have expertise in a technical field as well as broad-based knowledge of the legislative and judicial powers delegated to federal and state agencies. Graduates of the program are equipped to balance regulatory issues of health and safety with constitutional rights of citizens, economic development interest, national security, international development, and other evolving social and political priorities.

This program is a perfect fit for prospective students who:

  • Are recent high school graduates
  • Are 25+ years of age
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Have taken the ACT/SAT within the last 5 years
  • Have taken the ACCUPLACER Test

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) is a state-supported land grant institution, created in 1873 by an act of the Legislature as a branch of the Arkansas Industrial University (now the University of Arkansas). All of its degree programs are fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA). In 1998, North Central Association (NCA) and the Arkansas Department of Higher Education (ADHE) authorized UAPB to offer a Bachelor Degree in Regulatory Science at the North Little Rock location.
