Welcome to University College at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB)!
University College serves as the portal of entry for freshmen and many transfer students. The primary mission of University College is to provide quality learner-centered support programs to ensure that new students make a smooth transition to UAPB and acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for success in upper-division studies and for life-long learning in this world of change.
The staff of the division provides new student orientation, academic advising, diagnostic assessments, tutorial assistance, reading instruction, career counseling, and other services designed to familiarize students with the University and its programs and to foster academic progress. University College also monitors students’ compliance with the state minimum core curriculum and other state mandates pertaining to freshmen and sophomores. In addition, University College offers a bachelor’s degree in General Studies for non-traditional individuals with unique areas of interest.
