Welcome to University College at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB)!

At University College, we are dedicated to empowering your academic journey and ensuring a seamless transition to UAPB. As the gateway for freshmen and transfer students, our mission is to provide high-quality, learner-centered support programs that equip you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed for success—both in upper-division studies and beyond.

Our Highlights

We are home to offer a Bachelor of General Studies (BGS)- a four-year baccalaureate degree program is designed to meet the needs of the non-traditional student.

Our Career/Life Planning courses offer students practical strategies to identifying and reaching their career goals. 

Each year, we develop student orientation leaders who play an active role in helping new students have a positive first year experience in The Pridelands.

Our Numbers

Undergraduates

The General Studies Program currently has 71 undergraduate majors in the program, divided among four Areas of Concentration — Professional Studies, Liberal and Fine Arts, Science and Technology, and Social and Behavioral Sciences. During the last seven years, declared BGS majors for the fall and spring semesters included 461 and  443 respectively.

Degrees

BGS degrees conferred during the last seven years was 90,123, and 16 respectively for the fall, spring and summer semesters.
