ARKANSAS’ PREMIERE AQUACULTURE PROGRAM

We are home to the only comprehensive
aquaculture program in the University of Arkansas
System. Our research supports the state’s
$61 million aquaculture industry.

UAPB is one of six universities that make up the National Clean Plant Network for sweet potatoes.

Supported by the USDA, the organization
promotes the use of pathogen-tested, healthy
planting materials for food crops in the U.S. in

addition to securing research grants. Our
Extension Specialist Led Efforts to Donate Sweet
Potatoes to Pine Bluff Citizens.

SMALL FARM PROGRAM

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff School of Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Science conducts workshops, tours, meetings, and farm visits to bring university research results to Arkansans.

Harvesting Produce with Grandparents: A UAPB Department of Human Sciences Research and Extension Initiative:

A UAPB initiative teaches grandparents how to garden and harvest their own produce.
