Graduate Programs – Bill Processing
You will receive periodic bills from the university for fees & tuition. Bills can be paid in one of two ways.
- Payroll deduction. Graduate students receive checks for their assistantship money every two weeks (15th and last day of every month). When signing up for classes you will have the option of filling out a form for payroll deduction. If you choose to do this, all fees and tuition will automatically be taken out of your check. The correct amount each month will be removed so that bills are paid in full by the end of the semester. All bills must be paid in full before you can register for the next semester.
- Direct payment at student accounts in the administration building. Here a check can be written or credit card given for the amount due for the semester. Just make sure bills are paid before the next semester or you will not be able to register. Late fees will apply if you do not register on time.
If you decide on method one, you may still receive periodic bills from the university through the mail. Ignore these bills since they are removing money in increments from your paycheck. The situation should be a zero balance at the end of the semester. Sometimes there are a few dollars or even pennies left when the next registration comes around, but a secretary will let you know when you sign up for classes. If this happens, simply go to the administration building and pay the balance.
