Students who are seniors will have the opportunity to choose from a list of agencies and organizations that interest them. There are many opportunities for internship placement which include, but are not limited to, juveniles, child welfare, schools, non-profit, drug recovery, mental health, etc.

Hands-on Opportunities

Serving our community! – Every year the Social Work Department participates in the university’s Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Food baskets are given to families in need in the community. The department also donates food, clothes, coats, and toys to CASA Women’s Shelter during Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Sharing our time! The Social Work Department has volunteered at the Springs of Pine Bluff Nursing Home and Rehabilitation, playing BINGO with the residents.

The Social Work Department has volunteered at Targeting Our People’s Priorities with Service (TOPPS), a non-profit organization.”
