Teach P.R.I.D.E.

The SOE has transformed the preparation of teachers through Teach P.R.I.D.E., which focuses on Perseverance, Rapport, Integrity, Determination, and Equity. In the words of Nelson Mandela, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.

The School Education is committed to fostering an instructional environment that emphasizes Perseverance, Rapport, Integrity, Determination, and Equity while empowering future educators. These core values are at the heart of the school’s mission to develop well-rounded, ethically grounded, and socially responsible graduates.

  • Perseverance: Encouraging students to overcome challenges and persist in their academic and personal endeavors.
  • Rapport: Building strong, supportive relationships within the college community and beyond.
  • Integrity: Upholding the highest standards of honesty, ethics, and academic integrity.
  • Determination: Inspiring students to set and achieve ambitious goals-including becoming an educator equipped to create change in educational quality and processes.
  • Equity: Promoting fairness, inclusion, and equal educational opportunities for all students.

The faculty, staff, and school and community partners are committed to producing quality educators and leaders who are prepared to teach all students. Together and collectively, we will make a difference, one educator at a time!
